Team Gov Invitational 2005 That celebration has become the Team Gov Invitational, and will now also serve as an annual fundraiser for Seas It, a nonprofit cancer charity founded by Todd’s wife Amanda that promotes recovery through recreation for cancer patients who seek to recapture positive thinking and to regain control over their lives. The day’s events will consist of a series of competitive activities for all ages such as volleyball, kayaking, beach flags, a run-swim-run, a sandcastle contest and a three-legged race. There will be a cookout lunch and an awards ceremony for the winning team. Pre-registration is required for the event as there are a limited number of beach badges available. Events will begin at 10:30AM at the Allenhurst Beach Club (one block from check-in.) Several recreation-themed raffles will be held throughout the day; raffle items will include a surfboard donated by Spellbinders Surf Shop in Allenhurst, a bicycle from the Peddler in Long Branch, a Kayak from the Jersey Paddler in Brick and a snowboard with bindings donated by Burton. The Team Gov Invitational has been designed to increase awareness of Seas It’s mission, to raise money for its programs, and to personify its spirit by providing the opportunity for all participants to “seize the day.” Please join us for this special celebration.
