Hello Everyone,
Well, I am delighted to report that Todd made it through his second round of chemo with little to no side effects. Once again, we sat in the doctor's office and hunkered down for 5 hours while watching some DVDs.

For the following 3 days, Todd was pretty tired and groggy but maintained his positive attitude and unsurpassed strength as he went to the gym, rode his bike, and helped me baby-sit my 3-year-old nephew (this last accomplishment certainly required the most energy!).

So, Todd and I calculated that he has 4 pretty crappy days and 10 great days. Not too bad. We just got back from having blood work done today. Todd's results were fine but they want to give him some preventive shots to keep his blood levels from getting too low. One of the nurses remarked that Todd is the healthiest looking sick person she's ever seen. We were happy to hear this and as a result celebrated with a game of tennis. Todd won five games to one...how's that for sick?

Now, as retired newlyweds, we are off to the beach to enjoy the first day of September. The waves are good so Todd is going to go kayaking and I will attempt to surf.

I will keep you posted after Todd's 3rd round of chemo which begins on September 7th. Until then, I hope you are all well and enjoying these last few days of summer.

Love, Amanda
